Antoine Griezmann Atletico Madrid

Betting: Griezmann favourite over Mbappe & Lukaku to become Man Utd's first summer signing

After sealing Champions League qualification by lifting the Europa League trophy, Manchester United are now well placed to secure their top transfer targets this summer.

Having suggested there was a ‘six out of 10’ chance of moving to Old Trafford prior to that European final, Antoine Griezmann is now Betfair Sportsbook’s even odds (2.00) favourite to become Jose Mourinho’s next signing.

The France international has scored 60 goals in 111 league matches for Atletico Madrid and would prove a welcome addition to a Red Devils side that found the net fewer times than Bournemouth in last season’s Premier League.

Despite his side boasting the second best defensive record in the league, Mourinho is also rumoured to be looking to enhance his options at the back for the upcoming Champions League campaign.

Linked with United in the January transfer window, Benfica defender Victor Lindelof is now available at 4/1 (5.00) to make the move this summer, while England international Michael Keane can be backed at 5/1 (6.00) to return to his boyhood club after an impressive season at Burnley.

Arguably the hottest property in European football, Kylian Mbappe is available at 6/1 (7.00) to join former Monaco team-mate Anthony Martial at Old Trafford, in a move that would certainly make an exciting statement to the fans.

Perhaps a more realistic target considering his rumoured willingness to consider a move away from Everton, Romelu Lukaku is priced at 8/1 (9.00) to link up with Mourinho once again, having played briefly under the Portuguese manager while at Chelsea.

With Luke Shaw’s future up in the air, Danny Rose is on offer at 9/1 (10.00) to be tempted away from an exciting Tottenham team and take the left-back spot in the North West.

Similarly, question marks over David De Gea’s possible return to Spain could pave the way for Kasper Schmeichel 9/1 (10.00) to leave Leicester City in favour of the club where his father became a legend over the course of eight highly successful years.
