Cristiano Ronaldo Portugal European Qualifiers
With both sides knowing that a win guarantees them a place at the World Cup, we think the final game in Group B will see goals at both ends

As he has been on so many occasions before, Cristiano Ronaldo was the hero for Portugal on Saturday night when he came off the bench to break the deadlock for Portugal in the second half of their game in Andorra, before Andre Silva added a second late on.

It was far from convincing from the European champions, but the 2-0 win has set up a final game showdown against the side who currently top Group B.

Switzerland's perfect record of nine wins from nine began with a 2-0 success over Portugal last September, with Ronaldo missing that match through the injury picked up in the final of Euro 2016, and since that game both sides have won the eight qualifiers they have faced, meaning that their meeting on Tuesday is a winner-takes-all clash.

Of course, with the Swiss three points ahead, a draw would be good enough for them in Lisbon to secure their at next summer's World Cup, while Portugal need three points to avoid the play-offs.

BetSafe offer Fernando Santos' side at 13/20 (1.65) while Switzerland can be backed at 89/20 (5.45) with the draw available at 29/10 (3.90).

The visitors know that a clean sheet will see them through, but at the same time, scoring will considerably increase their chances; finding the back of the net has not been a problem for Vladimir Petkovic's men, who have scored in each of their last 11 matches in all competitions and they will be confident of doing so once more in Portugal.

The European champions, meanwhile, have netted in 14 of their last 15 matches, with their only blank since the 2-0 defeat to the Swiss coming in the Confederations Cup against Chile. Therefore, both teams to score looks like a highly tempting selection at 24/25 (1.96) and with so much at stake, surely both nations will be doing their utmost to continue their impressive respective scoring runs.
