Nantes have started the 2017/18 campaign well and are currently fifth place in the Ligue 1 table, but will have their mettle tested when they travel to the capital to play runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Having finished the last two seasons in eighth and seventh, Nantes - led by former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri - will be hopeful of maintaining their early season form but are an eye-watering 22/1 (23.00) to win their next league match.

The home side, meanwhile, are 1/12 (1.08) to win, and with good reason as the league leaders have won all six of their home league games this season, as well as defeating Nantes in the last 11 league meetings between the sides.

The corresponding fixture last season was on the same weekend, and goals from Angel Di Maria and Jese saw the home side record a routine victory.

To get better value odds, it may be worth looking to the Asian Handicap; although a complex-looking market, PSG are priced at 26/25 (2.04) to win if starting with a handicap of -2.75 - this means if they win by four clear goals or more, then the bet lands, whilst a win by exactly three goals would see the profit half.

Nantes have only averaged one goal against per away match in Ligue 1 this season, and their handicap price of 43/50 (1.86) to win with a 2.75 goal head start may be worth investigating as Ranieri knows how to set up a deep defence, so his team may be capable of leaving Paris with only a narrow defeat; a three-goal defeat would see punters have half their stake returned, whilst a loss by two goals or fewer - or indeed a draw or away win - would pay dividends.
