After slipping to a shock defeat at Lyon, Al Hain-Cole expects Les Parisiens to bounce back in style against Kombouare's men in the Coupe de France

Paris Saint-Germain will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing defeat against Lyon when they welcome Guingamp to the Parc des Princes in Wednesday's Coupe de France clash.

A late Memphis Depay goal condemned Les Parisiens to a first defeat in nine matches at the Groupama Stadium after Unai Emery's men had won eight in a row in all competitions previously.

Match Odds

However, having won each of their 14 home matches in this season, they are overwhelming 1/14 (1.07) favourites with bet365 to get straight back to winning ways in this match.

Antoine Kombouare reached two Coupe de France finals in his two full seasons as PSG boss, and can be backed at 20/1 (21.00) to come back to haunt his former team by knocking them out with a shock victory.

None of the hosts' last 18 fixtures have resulted in draws, but you can get odds of 12/1 (13.00) on this one heading into extra-time after a deadlocked 90 minutes.

Team News

Emery will be hoping to have Neymar back after a thigh injury kept him out of the Lyon game, while Kylian Mbappe's involvement is questionable after he was stretchered off in that game following a collision with goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.

Aside from long term injury absentee Abdoul Camara, opposite number Kombouare has a full strength squad to choose from.

PSG strong head-to-head

Although his side is still eight points clear at the top of Ligue 1, Emery will be determined to put the Lyon result behind him as quickly as possible with speculation over his future mounting.

The Spaniard will be therefore grateful to be back in action so soon, particularly against an opponent that has caused little difficulty in recent meetings; indeed Las Costarmoricains have lost each of their last six visits to the Parc des Princes, conceding 22 goals and scoring none.

Having won 36 consecutive domestic cup games to lift the Coupe de la Ligue in each of the last four seasons and this trophy in each of the last three, motivation will not be a problem for a home team that clearly takes these trophies seriously.

Tips and Predictions

All in all, odds of 5/6 (1.83) are well worth backing on PSG winning by at least three clear goals against a Guingamp team they beat 3-0 in August's away match at the Stade du Roudourou.
