Golden Arrows have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Danny Venter from Free State Stars.

His acquisition comes as a huge surprise given his impact at Ea Lla Koto, while it is massive buy for the Durban-based outfit.

"We would like to announce that we have secured the services of Danny Venter. We welcome Danny to the club and wish him well in his time with Lamontville Golden Arrows," the club said in a statement.

Known for his accurate left-foot and delightful free-kicks, Venter adds more firepower to an already deadly attack led by Kudakwashe Mahachi among others.

Venter has played for only two clubs in his top-flight career in Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars.

He got his professional break in the 2010/11 season when he joined Phunya Sele Sele.

To date, Venter has managed 100 official appearances accompanied by 10 goals.
