Wikki Tourist head coach Bala Nikyu says his side will not be caught in the web whenever the Nigerian Professional Football League resumes.
The Bauchi Elephants are eager to retain their place in the Nigerian topflight as they currently sit in 14 with 29 points - one above the drop zone.
Having narrowly escaped the drop last season, the gaffer is keen on steering his side to safety in the elite division, with a new resumption set to be announced by LMC in coming days.
And the gaffer has revealed that they are in competitive form in training and is promising that they will ready when actions return in the league.
“We are not happy with the delayed resumption of the league but we are hoping the issues are resolved,” Nikyu told Goal.
“There has been some delay but I think it should be sorted out in no time. I am very confident that we will remain in the league. We've been playing friendlies for weeks now and the team is in shape.
"The players are putting the best in training and in a competitive form. I can assure everyone that we will not be caught unaware. We will be ready whenever the league resumes.
“We really tired of training and eager to resume again. It is not easy, training for almost three months. I believe that once the crisis is resolved, the league will be back.”
