Competition from Dani Carvajal and Nacho Fernandez for the right-back role limited the Morocco international to only 16 matches for Zinedine Zidane’s side last season.

According to Tuttosport, Ancelotti is willing to give Hakimi and striker Borja Mayoral regular game time at the Stadio San Paolo to aid their improvement.
