Nabil Bentaleb saves Schalke 04 from defeat against Hoffenheim

Nabil Bentaleb scored Schalke 04's only goal in their 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim in Saturday's Bundesliga encounter.

The 24-year-old helped Domenico Tedesco's charges avoid their second successive loss following Wednesday's Uefa Champions League loss to Porto.

Bentaleb scored his second goal for the Royal Blues this week after his consolation in their 3-1 loss at Estadio do Dragao.

The Algeria international cancelled out Andrej Kramaric's opener with his 73rd-minute penalty.

He was later replaced by Morocco's Hamza Mendyl with four minutes rom full time while Senegal's Salif Sane featured for the entire duration.

Schalke 04 moved to the 11th spot in the Bundesliga log with 14 points from 13 matches. They welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Veltins-Arena for their next league outing December 8.
