Yanga are without a Head Coach since George Lwandamina's departure

Yanga Caretaker Coach, Noel Mwandila has put their recent struggles down to the lack of the presence a Head Coach in the team after being held in goalless draw by Rwanda’s Rayon Sports in CAF Confederation Cup.

The Jangwani outfit have played eight games without a win since the departure of their former Head Coach George Lwandamina in April. They have since drawn three times and lost a staggering five times in all competitions.

Speaking after the match, Mwandila said that, the importance of Head Coach in the team in unmeasurable and his presence will able to lift the team's performance.

“When we have a Head Coach we can share ideas before making the right decisions but right now it is very hard to do such things” said Mwandila.

Since the departure of Lwandamina, the team has remained on the hands of Mwandila and Shadrack Nsajigwa who were all assistants to the Zambian coach.
