Michael Babatunde seals Wydad Casablanca move

The 25-year-old forward has swapped Qatar for a return to Morocco in a deal that runs through till 2021

Wydad Casablanca has confirmed its signing of Nigeria international Michael Babatunde on a three-year deal from Qatar SC.

The Caf Champions League holder reportedly churned out $1.5 million to get the versatile forward.

And he joins compatriot Chisom Chikatara - although reported to be moving towards the exit - in the books of the Moroccan giants.

The Super Eagle played a starring role in Nigeria’s campaign at the last World Cup in Brazil, though his journey ended prematurely in the final group game against Argentina.

Babatunde has been involved in 12 games for Qatar SC this season, scoring three times.
