Mathare United have lost yet another goalkeeper after Robert Mboya left the Slum side.
Mboya left the ‘Slum Boys’ just seven months after he returned to Mathare United for his second stint in January 2018.
The latest move, that comes barely a month after the club lost Wycliffe Kasaya to Sofapak, cuts short Mboya’s second stint at Mathare after he rejoined the club from Kariobangi Sharks.
“The club has reached an agreement with Robert Mboya to part ways on mutual consent,” Mathare said in a stamen.
Mboya's departure leaves Mathare in dire need of another goalkeeper to help youthful custodian Emmanuel Otieno.
The 19-year-old custodian joins on a free transfer from Nairobi City Stars. He has put pen to paper on a four-year deal.
