Having missed the first leg through injury, Al Hain-Cole expects the Citizens' star striker to get on target once again in the Champions League

With a three-goal aggregate deficit to overhaul, Manchester City will need their exceptional attacking arsenal to fire when Liverpool visit the Etihad Stadium in Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg.

Pep Guardiola’s hand has been strengthened by the return of Sergio Aguero, who missed last week’s 3-0 defeat at Anfield through injury.

Aguero on target

On target in six of his last seven home games against the Reds, the 29-year-old offers solid value at 7/2 (4.50) with bet365 in the first goalscorer market, as well as 8/11 (1.73) to merely add to his 30-goal haul this campaign.

Having scored twice in his side’s 5-0 Premier League home victory over Jurgen Klopp’s team, Gabriel Jesus is priced at an even narrower 8/13 (1.62) to get on the scoresheet for the third European home game in four.

Also responsible for a brace in that memorable victory last September, Leroy Sane represents a more lucrative anytime option at 6/4 (2.50).

Raheem Sterling, meanwhile, can be backed at 20/21 (1.95) to score for the first time against his former club.

At the other end of the pitch, Liverpool will be praying that Mohamed Salah recovers from the injury that saw him substituted during the first leg and miss out on Saturday’s Merseyside derby.

Super Salah

The Egypt star scored his 38th goal of a remarkable campaign prior to leaving the field and is his side’s 13/2 (7.50) favourite to break the deadlock in this clash, or 6/4 (2.50) to strike anytime.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo has been involved in more Champions League goals this season than Roberto Firmino, who is available at 5/2 (3.50) to get on target for the eighth time in the competition.

Sadio Mane has not scored more goals against any other side than the five he has hit versus City, making odds of 11/4 (3.75) seem particularly generous on him firing past Ederson for the third successive encounter.

Alternatively, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could offer even better value at 8/1 (9.00) after also scoring in each of the last two games between these sides.

Aguero to score anytime at 8/11 (1.73) with bet365 for a 3pt stake
