Sterling set for new £250,000-a-week deal


Raheem Sterling is in line for a new Manchester City contract worth in excess of £250,000 a week, reports  The Guardian.

Sterling’s current deals expires in 2020 and he earns a basic £170,000 a week, with City keen to reward the England international with a bumper new deal.

The total package is likely to land Sterling a sizeable increase, with City keen to start talks over a new deal for the winger in February.


Man Utd ask for Evans updates


Manchester United have been asked to be kept updated on former defender Jonny Evans’ situation at West Brom, reports The Times.

Manchester City have held talks over a deal for Evans, while Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has suggested his club will struggle to compete with the Premier League leaders for the centre-half.

Evans, who left Old Trafford for West Brom in 2015, remains of interest for his old club, while Everton and West Ham are also watching matters.


Has De Bruyne dropped Alexis hint?


Kevin De Bruyne may have accidentally revealed that Alexis Sanchez will leave Arsenal for Manchester City.

Goal reported on Sunday that City hope to sign the Chilean in the January transfer window and are in on-going negotiations with Arsenal, with all three parties keen to find a resolution.

And De Bruyne may have suggested a deal is all but done when he was asked about the possibility of Alexis moving to City this month, saying: "When he comes he will add something to the team."

Alexis to start vs Chelsea


Despite intense speculation surrounding a potential move to Manchester City, Alexis Sanchez will start Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at Chelsea, reports The Guardian.

City have submitted a £20m offer to Arsenal for Alexis, whose contract with the Gunners expires at the end of this season. 

Pep Guardiola's side are confident of landing Alexis for free in the summer but with Gabriel Jesus out for two months with an injury, City are hoping to acquire the Chile international in January. 


City keeping tabs on Maguire


Manchester City are interested in Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire but do not consider him a January target, according to Sky Sports News .

Maguire joined Leicester from Hull in the summer for £17 million, but City may have to shell out £50m in the summer to land the 24-year-old. 

The Premier League leaders are targeting West Brom's Jonny Evans or Real Sociedad's Inigo Martinez to reinforce their defensive options in January. 


Arsenal join Liverpool & City in Pavon chase


Arsenal have joined Liverpool and Man City in the chase for Boca Juniors forward Cristian Pavon, reports the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old striker has turned heads with his performances for the Argentine giants, and has been compared to Alexis Sanchez. 

Pavon is said to have a £27 million release clause, and is likely to be named in Jorge Sampaoli's Argentina squad for the World Cup in Russia.


Man City to clinch Alexis this week


Alexis Sanchez's move from Arsenal to Manchester City could be completed as early as this week, claims the Express .

City have refloated their interest for Pep Guardiola's former Barca charge in January, with the two clubs entering talks.

The Premier League leaders want the deal done as soon as possible, and hope to land Alexis in a move worth around £30 million


Arsenal to use Debuchy in Evans deal?


Arsenal could send Mathieu Debuchy to West Brom as part of a deal to sign Jonny Evans, according to the Evening Standard .

The Gunners reportedly have yet to meet West Brom's £25 million valuation for Evans, with Manchester City also interested in the centre-back. But the inclusion of Debuchy could sway the Baggies, who are keen to add the right-back.
