Taifa Stars drawn in tough CECAFA pool


Taifa Stars has landed in a tough group which also includes host Kenya in the forthcoming Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup following the draw conducted on Thursday.

 Stars will have to battle for a place into the second round with host Kenya and invited guest Libya, former champion Rwanda and Zanzibar in a tough Group A.

Defending champions, Uganda pulled a relatively easy Group B alongside Burundi, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Zimbabwe.

 

 

Maguli wants 80 Million Tshs to join Yanga


After news emerged of Yanga's interest in signing Tanzanian striker Elias Maguli, the striker has responded revealing he is open to the switch but Yanga need to pay a hefty sign on fee to the tune of 80 million TSH.

The former Simba striker who now plies his trade in Oman for Dhofar FC has been in fine form of late scoring the equalizer against Benin in Taifa Stars friendly

 


 Pastory Athanas joins Stand United


After a lack of chances to start matches Pastory Athanas has joined Stand United from Singida United on loan.

The former Simba striker will now feature for Stand United till the end of the season in a bid to regain his confidence and match fitness.
