Jurgen Klopp has made six changes to his XI, which has five derby debutants while Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino are held in reserve

Mohamed Salah starts his first Merseyside derby with Everton’s nemesis Sadio Mane also in Liverpool’s starting line-up, as Dominic Solanke completes the attack.

The Under-20 World Cup winner also makes his debut in the rivalry, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andy Robertson getting their introduction to the feisty encounter as well.

Joe Gomez was named on the bench in the 1-1 draw in October 2015 but makes his maiden appearance in the fixture.

Jurgen Klopp has made six changes to the starting line-up from the 7-0 victory over Spartak Moscow as he continues his rotation policy during the hectic schedule.

Jordan Henderson returns to midfield having been rested in that Champions League game, with Emre Can and Gini Wijnaldum named as subs.

Coutinho and Firmino are also on the bench after starring in midweek, while James Milner, who was brought on at left-back for the injured Alberto Moreno during that match, moves into the centre of the pitch.

Simon Mignolet switches in for Loris Karius in-between the sticks, while Danny Ings is added to a matchday squad for the second time this season - his last involvement was in the League Cup exit at Leicester City.

Daniel Sturridge misses out on derby day due to a tight hamstring.
