Liverpool Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Bournemouth

The Red machine just keeps on rolling.

After wins over Everton and Burnley, Liverpool will be hoping to finish a huge week on a high as they travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth.

Jurgen Klopp's side can go top of the Premier League with a win in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off, and pile the pressure on Manchester City, who face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge later in the day, in the process.

This is already the best start to a league season in Liverpool's 126-year history, and extending it on the South Coast would be the perfect way for Klopp's team to prepare for their crunch Champions League date with Napoli next week.

Here, Goal takes a look at everything you need to know ahead of Saturday's game...

Liverpool Injuries

The sour note from Wednesday's 3-1 win at Burnley came in the form of an ankle injury suffered by Joe Gomez.

The full severity is yet to be disclosed, but at the very least the England defender is likely to face a couple of weeks on the sidelines. With Dejan Lovren having missed the last two matchday squads due to a minor problem, it means the Reds are a little light in defence.

Adam Lallana returned to the squad at Burnley, which will boost numbers further forward, while checks will be made on Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson, who missed out at Turf Moor due to a foot cut and a dead leg respectively.

Liverpool do not have any suspended players for this game.

Liverpool Starting Line-Up

As at Burnley, Klopp has continued his preference of rotation.

He made seven changes to his starting XI for that game, and more have been added this week.

Joel Matip continues at centre-back, and Gini Wijnaldum and Fabinho come into midfield. Up front, both Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah start, with Xherdan Shaqiri on the right flank.

Klopp, of course, has one eye on this week's Champions League clash with Napoli, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane having to settle for a place on the bench.

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Keita, Wijnaldum; Shaqiri, Salah, Firmino.

The Cherries are without Adam Smith and Lewis Cook, both of whom have long-term knee injuries.

Dan Gosling, who once scored a winner for Everton against Liverpool, was a doubt with a knock of his own and doesn't make the squad.

The in-form Callum Wilson, meanwhile, has been ruled out through injury.

Bournemouth XI: Begovic; Francis, Cook, Ake, Daniels; Brooks, Surman, Lerma, Stanislas; Fraser, King
