Sounders acquire Campbell from Fire

The Seattle Sounders have acquired defender Jonathan Campbell from the Chicago Fire in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft.

Campbell, 25, had his option declined after playing three seasons with the Fire, starting 49 of his 72 career MLS games.

Caio had Barca medical before Murillo signing

Sao Paulo centre-back Rodrigo Caio has said he had a medical with Barcelona before they opted to sign Jeison Murillo instead.

The Blaugrana recently brought in Murillo on loan from Valencia until the end of the season, with an option to purchase. 

But Caio has revealed that he very nearly ended up at Barca instead of the Colombian.

West Ham offer Nasri contract

West Ham have offered free agent midfielder Samir Nasri a six-month contract worth £80,000 per week, according to the Mirror

The 31-year-old is currently serving an 18-month doping ban and will be eligible to play again in January. 

Should he sign Nasri would be reunited with Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini, who managed the Frenchman when the pair were at Man City. 

Sporting CP make loan move for Liverpool's Camacho

Liverpool have received an enquiry from Sporting CP to take winger Rafa Camacho on a half-season loan, Goal understands.

The Portuguese side want the highly rated 18-year-old, who has also drawn interest from several Championship sides.

Camacho has yet to make a senior appearance for the Reds but has been named on the bench for games against Burnley and Manchester United in recent weeks.

Emery reveals turning down Salah at PSG

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly keen to work with the Sevilla midfielder again after managing him both at Valencia and Sevilla. 

Banega has a release clause of €20 million (£18m/$23m).

Rodriguez returns to Newell's

Newell's Old Boys have confirmed the signing of former Argentina and Liverpool winger Maxi Rodriguez.

The 38-year-old returns for a third spell in Rosario following an 18-month stay at Uruguyan side Penarol.

Rodriguez began his career at Newell's in 1999 and also spent five years at the club between 2012 and 2017.

Celtic eye Weah loan

Celtic are hopeful of signing PSG striker Timothy Weah on loan in January, according to Sky Sports.

The Scottish champions hope to complete a deal in time for Weah, son of former Monaco, PSG and Milan striker George Weah, to join the club's winter training camp in Dubai on January 6.

Weah began his career at New York Red Bulls before joining PSG on a three-year deal in the summer of 2017.

Rice signs new West Ham deal

Higuain hasn't asked for Chelsea move - Leonardo

The 16-year-old is shining as part of the Brazilian club's academy squad, with Juventus and Roma also keeping a close eye on his progress in South America.

Emery wants to bring Navas to Arsenal

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is hoping to secure the signature of Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas next year, according to Ok Diario.

The Costa Rican has fallen out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu since Thibaut Courtois arrived from Chelsea during the summer and he now wants to secure regular playing time elsewhere.

FC Porto defender Eder Militao has stalled talks over a new deal at the Estadio Do Dragao because he wants to secure a switch to Manchester United next year, according to Portuguese publication Correio Da Manha.

The Primera Liga outfit had been hoping that the 20-year-old would sign a contract extension which would increase his buy-out clause to €50m ($57m/£45m), but his head has been turned amid rumours of United's interest.

Militao has impressed in Portugal and in the Champions League this season, with 16 appearances under his belt across all competitions.

AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain wants to link up with Maurizio Sarri again at Chelsea, having previously played under the Italian at Napoli.

According to Sport Mediaset, the Argentine star has requested a transfer to Stamford Bridge, having struggled to make an impact at the San Siro since his loan switch from Juventus in the summer.

Sarri is equally keen on reuniting with his former charge and Juventus would be willing to consider Chelsea taking over Milan's loan agreement for Higuain, with an option to sign him permanently at the end of the current season for €36m (£33m, $41m).

Napoli favourites to sign Kouame

The youngster will sign a six-year deal with the club and earn €3.5 million per season, with the club set to announce the deal next week.

Sporting CP defender sold to Chicago Fire

The Chicago Fire have signed centre-back Marcelo from Sporting CP, the MLS side announced Thursday.

According to a report in A Bola, the transfer fee for the 29-year-old Marcelo is €500,000.

“Marcelo will add necessary leadership along our back line,” Fire general manager Nelson Rodriguez said in a statement. “He is a smart defender who participates in every phase of the game."

Cruz Azul sign Yotun from Orlando City

Liga MX side Cruz Azul have signed midfielder Yoshimar Yotun after Orlando City failed to sign him to a new contract.

The fee was not disclosed in the official announcement, but media reports on both sides of the border put the fee between $3.5 million-$4 million.

Orlando released a statement saying they made repeated attempts to convince Yotun to stay, but he was insistent on joining the Apertura finalists.
