Lipuli FC have dismissed the reports linking their player Adam Salamba with a move to Yanga at the end of the season.
The reports doing rounds in social media claim that Yanga have requested to loan Adam Salamba from Lipuli in order to use him in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage then return him to Lipuli for next season.
CAF rules allow a team to loan players and use them in the tournament when the local league competition is finished. It happened in 1998, when Yanga borrowed Monja Liseki, Aphonce Modest and Shaban Ramadhan “Dogo”
Speaking to Goal, Lipuli’s spokesman Clement Sanga said that they have not received any letter from Yanga and if they get it they will decide as a team.
“We have not received such a letter but if we get it we decide what to do and what not to do,” said Sanga.
Yanga are in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage but they are in a heavy financial crisis which has led to some of their key players to boycott matches and training in protest over salary arrears.
