Liberty Professionals coach Michael Osei offered no guarantees of captain Samuel 'Maldini' Sarfo's future following the expiration of his contract.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to city rivals Hearts of Oak and FA Cup champions Asante Kotoko ahead of the new season after reports suggested that he has rejected talks to sign a new deal at Liberty.
“Samuel Sarfo is hot cake right now and definitely some of the big clubs will need his services ahead of the new season," Osei told Starr Sports.
“So let’s wait and see what happens if he will leave us or finally extend his stay to help us put things together and achieve our aims. He has been linked to some big clubs but we are rather wishing for the best,” he added.
Sarfo, who doubles as a policeman in Accra, ended last season as the highest scoring defender after netting eight goals and was part of the Black Stars B squad that won the 2017 Wafu Cup of Nations held in October.
