The defending champions got off to a flying start against Unai Emery’s side to the delight of the former Leicester City winger

Riyad Mahrez has urged Manchester City to keep up with their impressive 2018-19 Premier League start.

On Sunday, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva’s efforts handed Pep Guardiola’s men a 2-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The summer signing from Leicester City featured from the start in the encounter - his second competitive appearance after winning the FA Community Shield with the side last week.

And he has taken to the social media to charge the Citizens not to soft-pedal on the showing.

“Great start today, Manchester City let’s keep it up,” Mahrez posted on Instagram.

The forward will be eyeing a starting berth when City take on Huddersfield Town in their next league game on August 19.
