Ingwe players will put on black armbands to show last respect to their former player, who died on Friday

AFC Leopards have confirmed that players will wear black armbands on Sunday during their league match against Muhoroni Youth to show respect to the deceased Sammy Taabu.

Taabu, who was a great midfielder for Ingwe in 1980’s, passed away on Friday and the club has decided to pay tribute to him during the match.

This development has been confirmed via the club’s social media accounts about one hour to the kick-off.

It also comes a day after the club registered their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved in a statement published on Saturday.

The match is being played at Mbaraki Sports club as from 4:15pm.
