Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo eyes south Madrid derby with Getafe

The Nigeria international is looking forward to helping the Cucumber Growers continue their winning run when they meet their rivals

Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo is anticipating their south Madrid derby with Getafe in Friday’s Spanish Primera Division tie at Estadio Municipal de Butarque.

On the back of a loss and a goalless draw in their last two meetings with the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez’ outfit, the Cucumber Growers will be aiming to claim victory over their rivals.

They are on a three-game winning run and are placed ninth in the league log, having garnered 20 points from 14 games.

And Omeruo who joined the side in the summer on loan from Chelsea has taken to the social media to express his readiness to help Mauricio Pellegrino’s men continue their impressive form.

“We don’t stop, derby game tomorrow,” Omeruo wrote on Instagram.
