FC Ifeanyi Ubah head coach, Ladan Bosso has admonished his players to repeat the same resilient approach they adopted against Enyimba if they are to get a result against Yobe Desert Stars on Sunday in Damaturu.
The former Bayelsa United and Kano Pillars gaffer praised his players' unyielding effort in Calabar where they held Enyimba to a 1-1 draw and the tactician opined that they must brace up for another tough task against the premier league newcomers this weekend to secure another positive result.
“I have to praise my players’ resilience against Enyimba because they played strictly to the instructions we have given to them before the game,” Bosso told Goal.
“It was a tough game from beginning to the end but we have the consolation that we ended up with a point. We should be proud of our performance in Calabar and carry on that form to the game with Yobe Desert Stars this weekend.
“We should not expect any easy game in Damaturu because we knew what happened in the first leg we played at home when we had to beat them 2-1.
"It was a game they played very well and they have gone ahead to add more experienced players during the midseason transfer which will make the Sunday tie to be more difficult for us.
“I see us getting a good result in Damaturu if we are able to conduct ourselves well and if the players are able to put in the same approach adopted in the last game. We are looking for points anywhere we can get and I feel the weekend tie presents us with an opportunity if we take our chances very well.”
