AFC Leopards are among the teams keen to sign keeper Farouk Shikhalo from Bandari.

Goal now understands that Ingwe have turned their attention to bring the former Muhoroni Youth custodian to the Den after they dropped their interest to sign Ugandan Mathias Kigonya, formerly of Sofapaka.

Another player in the list of AFC Leopards is Sofapaka striker Pistone Mutamba, who was formerly with Wazito FC. Meanwhile, former Sofapaka keeper Mathias Kigonya has denied reports linking him with Tusker.

The Ugandan says he is still available and that once he gets a concrete deal he will take it. “Tusker is a good club, with good players and anyone would like to play for them," Kigonya told Goal in an interview.

“But they have not approached me on the same, I have just read in the media that they are interested in my services and believe you me that is all I know.

“If I get an offer from them, yes I will consider it. My target, or objective is to play for a good club next season, and that is why I put it clear that I will consider any concrete offer.”

Kigonya is currently in his homeland as he waits to get a new team.
