Zoo Kericho turned around their poor start to the season with a resounding performance going into the second round.

The Kericho-based side kicked-off their league debut on a bad form, losing the first five matches without scoring a single goal.

But on Sunday, Zoo came from a goal down to force a 1-1 draw against hosts, Kariobangi Sharks at Nyayo Stadium, to take their unbeaten record to seven matches, even though they remain 12th on the log on 21 points.

Gor Mahia are leading the standing on 31 points. The last time Zoo Kericho lost a premier league game was on May 10 against champions, Tusker FC, after Posta Rangers gave them a rude welcome into the top tier with a 1-0 win on March 19.

“Let’s continue with the same level of commitment and come close of the year we shall reap the fruits of our labour,” said the club chairman, Ken Ochieng.

Formed in 2009, Zoo gained promotion to the top tier league in 2017 and they will kick-start the second leg against Sharks at Kericho Green Stadium on Wednesday.
