Kenyan star thankful after being awarded in Belgium

The midfielder was named the Most Valuable Player by his Belgian club

Royal Antwerp midfielder Johanna Omollo is aiming at performing even better for his Belgian club next season.

The Harambee Stars midfielder was named the club's Most Valuable Player after leading the team to promotion. The 27-year old midfielder says he is grateful and that more should be expected from him.

"I am really happy to have been recognized by the club for what I did last season. Honestly it was competitive but I am thankful from the bottom of my heart. It has been a long journey but the most important thing is that we are successfully through.

"Now the main focus is to help the team do better next season, it is just the beginning for us."

Omollo joined the team in 2014 from Lommel United, signing a five year deal with the club.
