Kane to strike first against Man City - Premier League bets of the week: Matchday 2

Where is the best value in the second weekend of the English top flight?

If Tottenham are any chance of beating Manchester City on Sunday (AEST), they need to start strong and will be looking to Harry Kane to lead the way.

The Spurs striker scored a double last weekend against Aston Villa to put an early end to any August hoodoo and is great value ($8.50) to score first at the Etihad.

That's in stark contrast to the low odds on offer for Pep Guardiola's attackers with Sergio Aguero ($3.75), Gabriel Jesus ($4.50) and Raheem Sterling ($5) all going cheaply to open the scoring.

With City keeping a cleansheet against West Ham last time out, the any-time goal scorer market for Tottenham also looms as an attractive prospect.

Kane ($2.88), Erik Lamela ($4.50) and Lucas Moura ($4.50) are at the shortest odds but new signing Tanguy Ndombele ($10) could be worth a punt considering he struck in his Premier League debut last weekend.

Best Multi-Bet

After beating Chelsea 4-0 last weekend, Manchester United showed some very positive signs to start their campaign and loom as good value against Wolves.

The Red Devils struggled against Nuno Espirito's side last season and are therefore valued at $2.20 to win away on Tuesday.

Wolves started the season with a frustrating 0-0 draw against Leicester and also must contend with a mid-week Europa League qualifier.

Marcus Rashford scored twice for United against the Blues and now leading the line, his odds of scoring anytime against Wolves ($2.75) are hard to resist.

Combine a United win with Rashford scoring anytime and throw in over 2.5 goals being scored and you've suddenly got a multi worth $5.75 across three legs.

Stay Away

Still without a competitive win under Frank Lampard, Chelsea are a side worth steering clear of right now as they look to find their feet under their new manager.

Despite a shaky start, the Blues ($1.72) have still been backed handsomely to defeat Leicester City, who are themselves good value of causing an upset ($4.50).

While the game will be played at Stamford Bridge, putting money on Chelsea right now is a gamble potentially not worth taking.
