Juventus' Medhi Benatia dismisses transfer speculations amid Arsenal, Marseille interests

Medhi Benatia has reiterated his commitment to Juventus as he is keen to respect the remaining two years in his contract.

The 31-year-old was a key figure in the defensive setup of the Old Lady last season and helped them in securing their fourth successive domestic double – the Coppa Italia and Scudetto.

Benatia who joined the Allianz Stadium outfit on a three-year deal in 2017 has attracted interests from top European sides including Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Marseille.

Despite reports linking him a reunion with his former boss Rudi Garcia at the Stade Velodrome, the defender, captain of Morocco, disclosed that he is only focused on leading his country to a good outing at the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.

“I respect Garcia and all his staff,” Benatia told France Football.

“But I still have two years on my Juventus contract and I want to respect that. Right now my attention is solely focused on the World Cup.”
