Half time  - Diogo Luis Santo won the free kick at the edge of the box during the added time of the first step and who else but Safawi Rasid who step up to the plate and delivered. His effort bend around the wall and into the near post, leaving Farizal Harun in Selangor's goal completely stranded.

Overall, the first half saw a balanced match between the JDT and Selangor albeit the home side who probably produced the better opening, with Gonzalo Cabrera twice coming close with his strikes but unfortunately for him, both went agonisingly wide.

48  - A penalty was incorrectly giving by referee Zulkarnain Zakaria when Nicholas Swirad fouled Diogo as replays showed that the incident took place outside of the penalty box. But Zulkarnain stood by his decision and Safawi easily thumped in the ensuing spot kick to put JDT 2-0 up.

64 - Diogo looks to have sewn the match up for the Southern Tigers with a stupendous strike. 72 - Substitute Ramadhan Saifullah quickly got into the act when he pounced on another Farizal howler who could only palmed Diogo's shot straight into the path of the youngster who made no mistake from close range.

75 - The youngster continues this impress as he made it 6-0 with an incredible curling effort from the edge of the box that gave Farizal no chance.

81 - Rufino Segovia was called off the bench to salvage some pride from for the visitors and the Spaniard managed to pull one back when he touch home a Sean Selvaraj cross.

Squad news

Four more rounds of matches to go in the shortened 2020 Malaysia Super League season and JDT are well on their way to retain their title for the sixth straight time. As it stands, only two more wins is required from mathematical standpoint and the first one in their path is Selangor.

Both times that they met in the league last season, JDT held the upper hand winning 3-2 in Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium and claiming 4-2 victory over the Red Giants at Shah Alam Stadium. The resumption of the league has seen the Southern Tigers in fierce form, winning all three of their matches and scoring a total of 11 goals.

Hariss Harun continues to be on the mend since picking up an injury prior to the match against Suwon Bluewings in the AFC Champions League back in March. In his stead, Ignacio (Natxo) Insa has step in and the former Levante man looks to have found his rhythm alongside Afiq Fazail in midfield while Mora will look to find a replacement for the suspended Mauricio dos Santos.

As for Selangor, they will be without Brendan Gan who is suspended after receiving a red card in the 1-1 draw against Melaka in the previous match. First choice keeper in Khairulazhan Khalid will also be missing as he goes through a matrimonial process.
