John Baraza: Sofapaka is not thinking about revenge against Kariobangi Sharks

Sofapaka head coach John Baraza says his team is not thinking about revenge ahead of the FKF Shield Cup final against Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday.

Batoto ba Mungu fell 3-1 to the same team last year in the semi-finals, but they eventually lost to AFC Leopards in the finals. Baraza says that is the past and he does not want to focus on it.

“No, it is not that we are coming to revenge against them, we are coming into the game with an aim of getting a win and represent the nation in the Caf Confederation Cup next season.

“We have never played Sharks in the finals, and they have never played against us; it is going to be entertaining. Well, we want to create chances and take them, that will be key. If we get early goals it will be better for us,” Baraza told Goal.

Ulinzi Stars will face AFC Leopards in the third place play-off battle.
