Jacques Tuyisenge stands a chance to pull away from KPL Golden Boot challengers

Rwandan international Jacques Tuyisenge is just four goals away from taking full control of the Kenya Premier League top scorer’s chart.

The Gor Mahia striker netted his 12th goal of the season in a 2-1 defeat by Bandari on Tuesday, three goals less to draw level with leading scorer Elvis Rupia.

Good news for Tuyisenge, who missed two league games before Bandari’s shock defeat for his side, is the fact that Rupia has since moved to a foreign league after the former Nzoia Sugar striker joined Power Dynamos.

Another uplifting news will be the unavailability of his closest challengers, Whyvonne Isuza of AFC Leopards and Zoo FC striker Nicholas Kipkurui, who are both suspended for the next two games after picking red cards.

And with a game against Posta Rangers coming up on Friday, Tuyisenge will have a chance to pull away from the suspended duo should he find the back of the net in Kisumu.

Both Isuza and Kipkurui have 11 goals each. They are followed by Zoo midfielder Michael Madoya and Mathare United striker Clifford Alwanga both with 10 goals each while Ezekiel Odera (AFC Leopards) and Cliff Nyakaya (Mathare) are jointly third with nine goals apiece.
