ISL 2017: Mumbai City’s Leo Costa expected to be back before the end of the month

The Brazilian midfielder is recovering from a hamstring injury and should be back in action in the next two weeks…

Mumbai City FC’s Leo Costa is expected to return to action when they play host to Delhi Dynamos on the 29th of this month at the Mumbai Football Arena.

The Brazilian midfielder in his second season with the Mumbai club picked up an injury in their opening clash against Bengaluru FC on 19th November. He seemed to have pulled his hamstring as he stretched to reach a pass in the 11th minute before being substituted seven minutes later.

The 31-year-old was a pivotal figure in their midfield where he would often link the defence with the attack. In his absence, the club has struggled in creating goal scoring opportunities as the likes of Balwant Singh and Rafa Jorda have been forced to feed on scraps.
