Guess who's back! Ibrahimovic has 'positive vibes' as he prepares to make Man Utd return

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is delighted to be “finally back” for Manchester United after completing a three-match domestic ban.

The Swedish striker has been forced to adopt a spectator role over recent weeks after being punished by the Football Association for elbowing Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings during a 1-1 draw on March 4.

He has seen United slip out of the FA Cup at the hands of Chelsea and drop two Premier League points at home to West Brom in his absence, although the Red Devils did get three points from their trip to Middlesbrough.

'Utd's Zlatan reliance is embarrassing'

The club’s 26-goal top scorer is, however, now chomping at the bit to get back into the action, with his last outing coming in a Europa League clash with Rostov prior to the international break.

"It’s part of the game, you can’t always play,” Ibrahimovic told MUTV ahead of Tuesday’s home date with Everton.

“Sometimes you are out for injuries or suspensions like in my case or for other reasons. You learn from everything.

"I feel good. I missed Old Trafford and the games with my team, but finally I am back and hopefully I come back with positive vibes."

The stalemate against West Brom on Saturday has left United in fifth place, five points adrift of arch-rivals Manchester City in the final Champions League spot and six behind Liverpool.

Ibrahimovic acknowledges that third is probably as high as the Red Devils can climb this season and he remains optimistic regarding their chances of becoming upwardly mobile despite a setback against the Baggies and a hectic schedule which is not being aided by untimely injuries.

How Man Utd are failing to create

"One game can change a lot – suddenly you can be third, fourth, fifth, sixth," he said.

"First is too far away, second probably also. But otherwise it’s very tight and if you succeed in winning two or three games in a row then you’re in the Champions League spots.

"I think we will make it and we will be there. We have gained the points we need to be in the Champions League, though we are on the limit now. A little bit more and we will reach the top four, I believe."
