Thailand are still a top team despite absence of top stars according to Hariss Harun

Hariss Harun believes Thailand isn’t to be underestimated at the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup despite the War Elephants leaving out some of their biggest stars.

Singapore and Thailand have been placed in the same group alongside Indonesia, Philippines and Timor Leste in what many have dubbed the ‘Group of Death’.

For Thailand there has been much talk regarding how Chanathip Songkrasin, Teerasil Dangda Theerathon Bunmathan and Kawin Thamsatchanan will miss the tournament, and could severely weaken the quality of the Thai squad.

However Singapore’s skipper Hariss believes that the Lions shouldn’t make the mistake of underestimating Thailand as they still are a side filled with top talent.
