The midfielder was a prominent figure for the Camels in their unsuccessful campaign but he is pleased to have competed

Ahead of Hapoel Beer Sheva’s last Uefa Europa League outing this season, John Ogu relives the moments he has had so far.

The 29-year-old played four of the five encounters for Barak Bakhar’s men in Europe's club second-tier competition this term and is likely to feature against Viktoria Plzen on Thursday night.

The combative midfielder's input was not enough to see the Camels through to the second round as they currently sit at the base of Group G with just four points from five outings, five adrift the Czech Republic outfit and six below the table toppers, FCSB.

Though disappointed with their untimely bow from the continental tournament, the Nigeria international has taken positives from the outing.

Ogu took to the social media to express his feelings on their participation while looking forward to their last match.

“Sad this year’s Europa League didn’t go as planned for us but it was an honour to have played and competed against the Best from different leagues,” Ogu wrote on Instagram.
