The African stars' fantastic efforts inspired their side to end the year on a high against their struggling visitors

Ida Guehai provided an assist while Barbara Banda hit a brace and Jade Boho scored a goal in Logrono's nervy 3-2 victory over Real Betis in a Spanish Primera Iberdrola encounter on Sunday.

The combination of the African trio proved a huge bargain for Gerardo Leon's ladies as they held on to end the year on a high at home.

Having managed a win in their last five matches, Logrono were desperate to get back on track and Equatorial Guinea's Boho gave them the needed lead from the spot just after three minutes.

After the restart, the struggling visitors secured an equaliser through Rosa Otermin in the 63rd minute to the shock of the home team at the Ciudad del Futbol de Pradoviej Campo Stadium.

With 20 minutes left to go, coach Leon brought on Cote d'Ivoire international Guehai in the 72nd minute and Zambia's Banda recovered the hosts lead a minute later off Isadora Freitas' assist.

In the 77th minute, Guehai justified her introduction as she set up Banda to hit her brace, guaranteeing Logrono's victory despite Ana Romero's late goal for the visitors.

Boho, who has now scored eight goals in 13 games, played from the start to finish alongside Equatorial Guinea's Chuigiue Dorine, while Ghana's Grace Asantewaa was in action for the final 58 minutes.

Banda, who played up to the 90th minute before being replaced by Nagela has now scored six goals in 10 matches, while Guehai earned her first assist of the season on her ninth outing this season.

The win moved Logrono to sixth in the Spanish women's log with 20 points from 13 games and they will visit Espanyol on their return from the winter break on January 5.
