Godwin Aguda urges fans to support Enugu Rangers ahead of key clash against Lobi Stars

Enugu Rangers’ Godwin Aguda has appealed to their fans to come out in large numbers to cheer them to victory against Lobi Stars in the rescheduled midweek league tie that takes place at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Aguda is confident that the players and the technical crew are well-prepared to take on the reigning league champions, but that the support of their fans from the stands will help galvanize them.

He said their mission ahead of Wednesday's game is to ensure that the Pride of Benue fall and so end their run of poor results against their mid-week opponents.

“We are really set for a good game against Lobi on Wednesday with great optimism of another victory by God’s grace,” Aguda told the club's media office.

“Any day, Lobi is a strong team and they did well on the continent like us and we expect them to come out strong but I believe that we shall carry the day. I urge our fans to come out in their numbers to sing and cheer us to another win.

“Our fans can play a greater role in the win if they play their role very well as the twelfth man from the stands. We must try to stop the dominance of Lobi Stars and I feel this is the ideal time for us.”

Aguda has four goals in the NPFL and further six in the 2019 Caf Confederation Cup competition, where he is the joint leading scorer along with Al Hilal’s Waleed Hamid.
