'Give it to Belgium!' - Nigeria reacts to Brazil's World Cup ouster
Belgium outclassed Brazil 2-1 to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the 2018 Fifa World Cup.
Fernandinho's own goal and Kevin De Bruyne's stunner gave Roberto Martinez's side a first-half advantage before Renato Augusto reduced the deficit for the Selecao.
Brazil's loss means they are the last South American team to kiss the World Cup goodbye, leaving only European nations in the running to win the prestigious prize in Russia.
However, Friday's performance at Kazan Arena has stimulated Nigerians to shower praise on Belgium as they aim for their first World Cup trophy.
Got to give it to #BEL for tonight. Had been rooting for #BRA from the beginning but this virtually Premier League #BEL cast are the real deal. #BRABEL #WorldCup 👏👏👏👏👏

Brazilian lost tactically. 1st goal was an OG, but 2nd goal shouldn't have happened if Brazil were controlled and calm

In between, there were missed chances/half chances for both sides, but credit to Martinez [and I can't believe I'm saying this again], he won a tactical battle.

Belgium have done the "impossible", the world cup is wide open again. And it is going to Europe again.
Belgium was the first above average tactically aware team Brazil faced; their first... https://t.co/Lkml23QLDZ
The #WorldCup is Belgium’s To Lose❗️⚽️

Brazil only have themselves to blame for this defeat. Thought Douglas Costa was really immense when he came in, and could have turned the game around for Brazil but the wastefulness of their attackers cost them. I think Belgium will win the trophy now. #WorldCup #BELBRA
