Francis Kimanzi was left in rage following Mathare United’s 4-0 defeat against Nakumatt.
Kimanzi took issue with the overall display by his players even as he praised the Shoppers for their fluid exhibition at the Camp Toyoyo.
Joe Waithira hit a brace for Nakumatt in either half before handing over the scoring boots to second-half substitutes Kelvin Thairu and John Avire, who both hit a goal apiece to complete the rout.
The victory was so convincing that Kimanzi was left with no option but to concede defeat in his post-match remarks. “We did not show good character. It is nice to be honest because we played poorly,” he told Mathareunitedfc.com.
The Dutch trained tactician also took in the dismal performance from his charges both offensively and defensively. “We did not deserve even a point. Nakumatt played marvellous football and they deserved to get the three points.”
Mathare United visit Zoo in Kericho on Sunday in their next league match.
