Former SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates attacker Dove Wome has found a new home in Europe.
Wome penned a three-year deal with Latvian side FK Ventspils and he was unveiled on Friday afternoon.
The Togolese forward had been without a club since parting ways with Matsatsantsa at the end of last season.
His future at the Tshwane-based club became bleak when he was loaned out to the Buccaneers two seasons ago.
He returned to SuperSport at the end of his loan spell, and while the club's technical team vowed to give him game, he ended featuring sparingly for the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup finalists.
Wome made a name for himself at Free State Stars before moving to Mamelodi Sundowns.
However, things didn't end well and he subsequently left the Brazilians for crosstown rivals SuperSport United.
Wome's latest move signals the player's intention to revive his career, and while the Latvian Higher League is not popular in Europe, he'd hope to leave a mark and perhaps move to a bigger league in future.
FK Ventspils is one of the big and most successful clubs in Latvia and they have dominated the Higher League throughout the years.
Despite being formed in 1997, Ventspils have won six league titles and seven Latvian Cup titles.
They have also been participating in Uefa competitions, although they have hardly made it past the qualifying rounds.
During the 2009-10 season, Ventspils became the club first Latvian club to qualify for the group stages of the Uefa Europa League where they were pitted against Hertha Berlin, Sporting CP and Heerenveen.
Ventspils finished fourth in their group after suffering three defeats and registering three draws in their six matches.
