The former Gunners midfielder says he is enjoying his globetrotting career after securing a deal in Sweden

Emmanuel Frimpong has insisted that he doesn't regret his decision to play in many countries after failing to break into Arsenal's first team.

The 25-year-old was seen as one of the brilliant youngsters to take the English Premier League by storm but couldn’t live up to expectations.

Arsene Wenger later sent him out on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Fulham between 2012 and 2014.

He has since represented Ufa and Arsenal Tula in Russia and signed a two-year deal in February with Swedish Allsvenskan side AFC Eskilstuna.

“I like to play in different countries, experiencing different cultures because I have played in England since I was a child,” Frimpong said at a press conference in Eskilstuna on Tuesday.

He was asked if he would return to England someday and whether he ever dreamt of playing in Sweden.

He said: “No, no, no, [I will not come to England].

“If I'm to be honest, Sweden was not where I wanted to be. But the main thing is that I am enjoying my football and playing games.”

Frimpong played his first and only game with the Black Stars against Sudan in a World Cup qualifier in 2013 and is yet to earn another call-up.
