England moved up three places to 12th in the latest FIFA Ranking as Germany retained their grip on top spot.
Gareth Southgate’s side booked their place at the World Cup finals during October and have been rewarded by leapfrogging Wales, Mexico and Colombia.
Meanwhile, Germany retained their grip on an unchanged top six, which comprises of the world champions followed by Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium and Poland.
Behind them, France moved up to seventh, while Spain jumped three spots to eighth. Chile, who missed out on qualifying for the World Cup, are ninth with Peru completing the top 10.
The Netherlands made a big jump of nine spots into the top 20, while the Republic of Ireland and Scotland both broke into the top 30 by climbing eight and 14 spots respectively.

The USA also climbed the ranking, moving to 27, despite failing to qualify for the World Cup in surprising circumstances.
Austria were the big movers in the top 50 as they leapt 18 places into 39th, while the Czech Republic (up 12) and Panama (up 11) also made dramatic strides.
The Central American nation will play in their first World Cup next summer after controversially eliminating the US, which was greeted by a national holiday in their homeland.
Ecuador were the big losers in this edition of the Ranking, falling from 35th to 60th in one fell swoop.
