The League One outfit overturned a 2-0 deficit at the bet365 Stadium to land a pair of sizeable bets and move into the fourth round of the tournament

The FA Cup flexed its magic once again as League One strugglers Shrewsbury Town stunned Championship outfit Stoke City in their third round replay with three goals in the last 20 minutes to land two 50/1 (51.0) winners.

Tyrese Campbell scored twice for the hosts in the first half but Sam Ricketts’ men pulled a goal back on 71 minutes before drawing level six minutes later. Josh Laurent then completed an astonishing turnaround in the 81st minute when he tapped home from six yards out.

Shrewsbury were out at 13/2 (7.50) with bet365 before kick-off anyway, but there was a 50/1 (51.0) winner in the shape of Stoke to be winning at half-time and the visitors to win the match.

A 3-2 victory for the visitors would also have paid out at 50/1 (51.0), which is not particularly surprising given the gap of 27 league places between the sides.

That sets the Shropshire side up for a fourth round tie at home to Premier League Wolves on January 26, a match which they are 6/1 (7.0) to win and advance to the fifth round for the second time in three seasons.

Also on Tuesday night, Championship Sheffield Wednesday defied their tag as 5/2 (3.50) outsiders to see off League One high-flyers Luton Town 1-0.

Atdhe Nuhiu’s strike just after half-time turned out to be the winner, ending a run of four FA Cup games in which the South Yorkshire outfit have failed to score.

The other replay saw Newcastle United win their first away FA Cup game since 2006 with two goals in extra time giving them a 4-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers.

Rafa Benitez’s men were slight underdogs at 9/5 (2.80) to win in 90 minutes and even managed to surrender a 2-0 lead in the first half, but extra time goals from Joselu and Ayoze Perez put them into the fourth round.
