Former Porto and Blackburn Rovers striker Benni McCarthy reflects at his own youth development back in his teenager years in Cape Town.

McCarthy quickly rose to fame into the Bafana Bafana ranks, establishing himself as South Africa's top finisher even as a teenager.

After leaving Seven Stars in Cape Town, he starred for Ajax Amsterdam before moving to the Portuguese league, La Liga in Spain and the English Premier League.
