Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo and spouse have heralded the birth of his newborn baby named Chairein.

The 25-year-old took to Instagram to share the news with cute images of his daughter and also reserved praise for his wife, Chioma.

Omeruo who was released from the Super Eagles’ camp a week ago after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa, was in action for the entire duration as Leganes pipped Alaves to a 1-0 win in Friday’s Spanish LaLiga fixture.

The centre-back joins Crotone's Simeon Nwankwo and Al Nassr's Ahmed Musa in the list of Super Eagles players who have welcomed new babies after the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.

He has made six league appearances for Leganes who are 17th in the league table.
