Algeria forward Andy Delort has called out EA Sports to change his nationality from French to the North African country in Fifa 19.

Three months ago, Delort, who was born in France to an Algerian mother, expressed his readiness to switch his international allegiance to Algeria.

Initially dropped from the 23-man squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, the Montpellier attacker was later called up to Djamel Belmadi's team as a replacement for Haris Belkeba who was sent home for showing his backside in an online game.

He capped his debut appearance for Algeria with the winning goal in their 3-2 win over Mali in a pre-Afcon friendly fixture. In Egypt, Delort has played in every one of the Desert Foxes' games, making one start and three substitute appearances.

Following his quick adaptation to the Algeria national team, the 27-year-old made a plea for a change in the flag showing in his profile in the world's most famous football video-game.

"Good evening EA Fifa France, I'm an Algeria international. Would it be possible to change the flag, please? Thank you, in advance," Delort tweeted.

Algeria have progressed to the quarter-final of Afcon after a 3-0 win over Guinea on Sunday. They are scheduled to play against Ivory Coast on Thursday for a place in the semi-final.
