EXTRA TIME: African stars celebrate Eid al-Fitr

The continent’s football stars joined Muslims across the world in marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan

Morocco captain Medhi Benatia, Ivory Coast’s Yaya Toure, Ghana’s Michael Essien and Algeria’s Sofiane Feghouli are among the African players who took to social media to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

This global celebration is the feast that marks the end of the 30 days of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
