Where is the best value in the opening weekend of the English top flight?

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah represents strong value to score the opening goal against Norwich in Saturday's [AEST] English Premier League opener at Anfield.

The Egyptian attacker is second favourite at $3.50 to hit the back of the net first - which is good value considering he has scored 54 league goals in the past two seasons.

His teammate Sadio Mane [$3.10] didn't feature in any part of last weekend's Community Shield loss to Manchester City and will be unlikely to start the match against the Canaries.

Norwich striker Teemu Pukki, who hit 29 league goals to help the Canaries get promoted, is priced at a juicy $13 to strike first at Liverpool's famous stadium.

Liverpool's arch rivals Manchester United won all six of their matches in pre-season and the $2.10 on offer for them to knock off Chelsea at Old Trafford is quite attractive.

The Blues will be managed by Frank Lampard in a competitive match for the first time, with an upset victory at the Theatre of Dreams valued the same as a draw [$3.25].

Best Multi-Bet

Liverpool looked rather rusty in pre-season and could concede a goal against Norwich - who were a free-scoring team in the Championship.

You can get both teams to score at $2.20 and combine with division new boys Aston Villa to score [$1.83] against a depleted Tottenham defence.

Spurs have lost fill-in right back Juan Foyth to injury and after the sale of Kieran Trippier, are short of options for the role.

The multi-bet has the attractive odds of $4.02 with promoted teams usually keen to impress on the opening day of the season.

Stay Away

Arsenal have significantly strengthened their attack and midfield with the capture of Lille winger Nicolas Pepe and loan signing of Real Madrid talent Dani Ceballos.

But the Gunners defence still looks shoddy with no additions made as of yet and the loss of captain Laurent Koscielny to Bordeaux.

Unai Emery's team is priced at $1.72 to defeat Newcastle away on the opening day but these odds are too low, especially with the Toon being an unknown quantity under Steve Bruce.
