Former Ashanti Gold manager Bashir Hayford has signed a one-year deal to become the next coach of Ebusua Dwarfs ahead of the 2017-18 season.
The Mysterious Club were without a coach after their contract with Brazilian Ricardo da Rocha was terminated mutually last week despite the club finishing within the top four for the first time in seven seasons.
Hayford guided Ashanti Gold to clinch the 2015 league title but surprisingly resigned from his post in March after just eight matches into last season when the club was sitting 15th on the log.
“I have signed a one-year deal with Ebusua Dwarfs and I will start work next month,” Hayford told Fox FM.
“I'm elated to return to the dugout again and hopeful to make Dwarfs one of the best clubs in the country during my tenure. I wish I have everyone's support in order to achieve the set aims and objectives," he added.
Hayford's first assignment will be in the Ghalca G8 tournament scheduled for next month. Dwarfs have been paired with Hearts of Oak, Medeama and Karela United in Group B and will base in Cape Coast.
