Denmark v Chile Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

Denmark’s World Cup 2018 preparations continue with a testing tussle against South American champions Chile on Tuesday night.

The Danes claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win in a bruising encounter against Panama on Thursday night, while Reinaldo Rueda’s charges struck in the final minute to secure a 2-1 win against Sweden on Saturday.

Latest odds

Age Hareide’s side are going to this summer’s tournament and they are chalked up as SportPesa’s 8/5 (2.60) favourites to come out on top in this clash. The same firm go 9/4 (3.25) that the match ends all square.

Despite being crowned champions of their continent in 2016, Chile missed out on a place at the World Cup after suffering defeat in three of their final four qualification fixtures.

Saturday’s victory in Solna, though, underlines that they will provide a stiff examination of the Danes’ credentials and SportPesa go 7/4 (2.75) that the Chileans do the double over Scandinavian opposition.

Team news

Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez started against Sweden but may be rested here. Marcos Bolados scored the late winner in that game and could replace Sanchez here.

Ex-Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner will be hoping for a place in the lineup, having come on as a second half substitute against Panama on Thursday.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen and Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel both started that match but are in contention to feature again here.

Chile’s struggles on the road

The 2-1 win against Sweden on Saturday was the first time that Chile have won an away international friendly fixture since they defeated England at Wembley back in 2013.

Indeed, the South Americans have won just two of their last 12 friendlies on their travels - hence SportPesa's hefty price of 33/10 (4.33) that the Chileans lead at both half time and full time.

Denmark will be desperate to lay down a marker ahead of the World Cup and will surely be motivated to record a positive result.

Preview and predictions

Hareide’s side have a strong home record in friendly fixtures with nine wins and three draws in their last 13 such fixtures.

Given that they have enjoyed around 48 hours more rest than Rueda’s men, the 8/5 (2.60) quote for Denmark to win could represent good value for punters ahead of Tuesday’s tussle.
